GAURAV AWARD 2010 and Certificate of Excellence from INDIA INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY for his contribution for promoting multidisciplinary research activities. This award is conferred annually on eminent personalities representing different fields from the country and abroad who have contributed remarkably towards progress of India in their respective fields.
The award was presented to Prof. Rai on 19th September 2010, in New Delhi at a seminar on Global Participation in India's Economy Development by Dr. H. T. Sangliana, Vice Chairperson, National Commission for Minorities, Govt. of India. Prof. D. V. Rai, M. Sc. (BHU, Varanasi), M Tech (IIT, Delhi), Ph. D. (JNU, Delhi) has been postdoctoral fellow in biomedical engineering of Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Louisiana State University Medical Centre, USA. He has been actively engaged in research and technology for last 40 years. Prof. Rai had held the position of Professor in Biophysics and also in Board of Governors of Punjab University, Chandigarh. Presently he is serving as Director of Centre for Biomedical Engineering, Shobhit University, Meerut.
