On the occasion, archbishop Moras in his welcome address conveyed the Christmas message to all gathered. He reiterated that Christ was born to bring salvation to the people and spread the message of love, peace and harmony. It is our duty to honour the people of all faiths to live and let live, he said.
A pocket Bible and also the special edition of Tabor were released by the governor at the programme. Dr H T Sangliana, vice-chairman, All India Congress Minorities deparment, P C Mohan, MP Roshan Baig, K J George, MLA , Derrick F, MLA , T John and Shankar Bidari were present.
Welcome dance and also the songs by ‘Chiguru’ group kept the gathering enthralled. The programme was compered by Fr Michael and Fr Adolf Washington, president, Indian Catholic Press Association. Chancellor Fr Machael delivered the vote of thanks.
